Purchases and Commissions

Rules of engagement

This is for clients whom are considering purchases or commissioning something from me. I seek good client-contractor relationships. My commissions can range from 3ft. to 20ft. Small, private works can be 4" X 6" to 24". 

I start out by looking at the proposed commission site. Obviously I want to meet the client or committee to discuss the project, and fees which may cover my work on the ID(initial design), and cost for the visit, if it is not local. Later a full budget and schedule is presented with the proposal. My online work can be purchased directly from me without art dealer costs. I can also show these works on video, so that one can see the full 3D effect of the whole sculpture.

My works are products of my personal energies, time, and the environment in which they are made. For large works I use a team of fabricators, engineers, and many sub contractors. I like my work to be accessible to interested members of the public, while working within government constructions requirements, and not imposed design demands, but at times a sculptor must not be too rigid in this.

Potential difficulties should be agreed upon in the negotiations, and final contract signing. Many fees are payable in advance. I believe in a team spirit in all phases of producing public art. Problems always arise when constructing sculpture.
