The English sculptor Henry Moore had a great impact on Harris' work and philosopy. The fact that Moore held African art in high esteem, and that Picasso was influenced by African art, made Harris even more determined not to wholly abandon his African heritage.

Bronze(1978)
Although classically trained in bronze casting, Harris no longer works in this material(heavy lifting restrictions) unless it is commissioned, and done by a foundry. He has recently started doing small bronzes at California State University, Chico. This bronze sculpture from his student days, was cast at The Central School Of Art and Design, London, England (now called Central St. Martins School Of Art). It was done under the direction of Mr. Henry Abercrombie, Lecturer in Bronze Casting. Unfortunately this sculpture was stolen in a break-in at Harris's apartment (Mosebacke Torg, 1988) in Stockholm, Sweden. Harris hopes that the thief was an art lover.
